Las Vegas is full of so many incredible locations and attractions. From historic towns to natural wonders, there’s truly something for everyone. As a photographer, I spend my time traveling all over Las Vegas and Henderson for my family portrait sessions. I’ve found a few hidden gems throughout this process – and they’re some of my favorite spots for sessions. Check out this post if you’re trying to decide where to have your next family portrait session! 

Clark County Wetlands Park 

My favorite hidden gem in Las Vegas is called Clark County Wetlands Park, which is found on the east side of Vegas. It’s a big park with little streams all over and nice long trails to walk around in all their different paths. While it’s great for portraits, there’s also plenty to do if you’re just looking for a family activity! Read more about why I love it in this article I was featured in on Redfin! 

Spring Mountain Ranch 

Spring Mountain Ranch was one of the first working ranches ever in Las Vegas and was once a vacation home for the rich and famous (including Howard Hughes). Now, visitors can view the historic buildings and explore the gorgeous trails. I love photographing sessions here year-round, with the gorgeous old fences and buildings on the property. 

Neon Boneyard

If you’re looking for a spot for portraits that screams “Las Vegas”, the Neon Boneyard is definitely a great option. This incredible museum houses retired neon signs from Vegas’s history. For sessions, the museum is actually rented out so we have total privacy for the duration of our time there. Valley of Fire

The Valley of Fire is one of my favorite natural landmarks in Vegas! Filled with red sandstone formations, it’s a gorgeous option for nature lovers in Las Vegas. I love the color of the stone and how beautiful it looks as the sun sets. Some of my favorite maternity sessions have been photographed here!
