Levi is ONE! I cannot believe he’s back in the studio for his first birthday cake smash already. It seems like yesterday I just photographed his newborn session here in the Las Vegas studio. We started off the session on my mustache backdrop. I just LOVE this one. It’s so classic and makes for the perfect start for any first birthday session. After that, we did a Vegas Knights setup. When you’re a Las Vegas baby, it’s a must!! Finally, we had a Mickey Mouse inspired setup for his actual cake smash. I do these theme often but I always love finding new ways to mix it up!

First Birthday Cake Smash

By the time we got to our cake smash setup, Levi was kind of over everything, ha! We think that the Mickey Mouse in his setup scared him… so we tried to move into another quick setup instead but that’s okay! Despite it all, he was still SUPER cute. Honestly, that’s the reality of working with kids! You never know what you’re going to get. It keeps my job fun! I always think the kids’ reactions to the setups and cakes is one of the best parts of my job. Capturing them as they truly are around their first birthday is so special.
