This year’s fall mini sessions were definitely a hit! My fall mini sessions occur annually, and as you know, I only offer them to my newsletter subscribers! I was thrilled to watch the slots fill up quickly because I knew this year was going to be amazing! Picking locations for the fall minis was a lot of fun and I finally settled on six different locations to hold mini sessions at: the mountains, Valley of Fire, Spring Mountain Ranch, the Wetlands, Floyd Lamb Park, and Nelson Ghost Town. Each held something special and made the mini sessions that happened there really pop!

Fall mini sessions are always a lot of fun for me (and a little hectic if I’m being honest!) because I get to catch up with some of the incredible people I’m blessed enough to work with. It really makes me appreciate what I do a little bit more every year – especially as these kids grow up and I get to see it happen. Not everyone’s job lets them do that! I’m so excited to be sharing some of my favorite family fall mini session portraits with you here today!

Three of the days were spent in the mountains… these sessions felt warm and cozy despite how cold it actually was! All my clients were such troopers! I was so impressed with all of the beautiful outfits that everyone chose – lots of gorgeous fall hues and plenty of matching patterns and solids (a great tip for all family portraits! Mix those patterns and colors up!). We got extremely lucky with the foliage – we don’t often get such yellow leaves in the fall here in Vegas!

Our next sessions were in the Valley of Fire and the Spring Mountain Ranch! All of these sessions were cuddly and cozy. I seriously can’t get enough of these families!

Two days of sessions were held in the Wetlands! I loved these fall mini sessions because the colors were so… well, fall! Gorgeous picks!

The other two days of minis were spent in Nelson Ghost Town and Floyd Lamb Park! These sessions were fun because they had such a different feel than my others.

What a wonderful year of fall mini sessions! I can’t wait until next year!
