Remember Tara and Curtis from this gorgeous Dry Lake maternity session? Their sweet baby girl was born and came in for her newborn session as part of their Bump to Baby package recently! I have to tell you – this session was a dream! Arya was a great little baby. She let me pose her any way I wanted during the portraits, which means we got some really beautiful shots and we were able to do a wide variety of poses.

For Arya’s session, Tara and Curtis decided on a classic color theme of blush pink, ivory and plum. A simple color palette helps ensure these portraits will be elegant and stand the test of time. Because Arya was so cooperative, we were able to do a few setups and outfits. We started with a beautiful outfit from Alpine Lane. What is it about babies and ruffle butts on their outfit? SO cute! Tara brought in the most adorable little turban for Arya to wear for a few portraits. The turban was a great idea- she looked so sweet! After that, we moved into an adorable fireman inspired outfit from No. 2 Willow Lane. Since Curtis is a fireman, using this outfit was obviously a no brainer! We continued with the fireman theme since Curtis brought his uniform to the session, too! Arya looks so tiny next to her dad, doesn’t she? We finished the session with one of my all time favorite poses: the family silhouette. I just love this stunning shot! All those cuddles are a great way to end the session, too!
