Las Vegas Studio Newborn Portraits for Twins

All newborn portraits are special to me, but when the babies in my studio have a story like these twins do, everything becomes a little more meaningful. These twins are truly miracle babies! They were born 3 month early, which required a NICU stay of 109 days. But these sweet babies were fighters and did everything they could to make it home to mom and dad. When their mom reached out about a studio newborn session for the twins, I was excited – and a bit nervous! By the time they made it to my studio, they were already almost 5 months old. We wanted to capture what we could that would make them feel like tiny newborns again!

Las Vegas Studio Newborn Portraits for Twins

For their session, we were prepared for just about anything. Since the babies were older, I wasn’t sure what we’d get as far as posing. Older babies don’t want to curl up as easily as new babies, so it can be trickier to get some of the traditional newborn shots. But, once I met these two, I knew we’d be able to make most of it happen the way we wanted! Although the twins have grown SO much since birth, they were still tiny enough to get into my newborn outfits. Both of them were like angels for me during the session.

When we were discussing their portraits, mom mentioned bringing her wedding dress in for a backdrop. I absolutely loved the idea and it wound up being one of my favorite images from their session! The best part of capturing that image was that their little boy smiled perfectly and I caught it on camera! What a special moment. I also entered one of their images into an international competition for photography after their session. I wound up winning a Silver award in this competitive competition, so I’m extra proud of these portraits for that reason too!
