I don’t photograph many events but I always make an exception for children’s birthday parties.  I love capturing a child on their special day.  I was so excited when I found out the party was going to be at Mandalay Bay Shark Reef.  What a fun birthday experience!  We started off the day by going through the Shark Reef and letting everyone go at their own pace.  Once everyone was done looking at all the beautiful fish and sharks they all went into a private room where they got to see, touch and feel different types of sea animals.  I thought it was neat to see all the different types of sea animals they had.  And at the end they surprised the birthday boy with a giant fish tank set up just for his party.

I love how curious he was here and stared at all the beautiful fish & sharks!

The touch tanks are pretty cool.  They had stingrays and ancient horseshoe crabs.

The cupcakes looked so yummy and I love the cute shark they put on top for decoration!

This was a funky looking starfish called a Chocolate chip starfish.

This same starfish looked so cool underneath, with his beautiful purplish feet.
